What We Do

From Dams to Clearing, We Take Pride in Doing Things Properly

Built Around the Job, Not the Machine

Not every job needs an excavator, and not every job can be done with a dozer. Knowing what machinery to use, and how to use it, makes all the difference.Whether it's building dams, desilting tanks, clearing country, stick raking or general earthworks, we understand that every property and every job is different.

Getting Your Place Working the Way You Want

Every farmer has jobs they've been meaning to get done. Timber that's taking up good country or tracks that need sorting out. Some jobs are about making the property more productive, others are about making it easier to manage. Either way, there's satisfaction in seeing a job finished properly.Whether it's excavator, dozer or loader work, we take the time to understand what you're trying to achieve and do the work in a way that makes sense for your property.

Work That Fits the Country

Good earthmoving isn't just about shifting dirt. It's understanding how the country falls, where the water runs and how the finished job will fit into the property.Whether we're building a dam, forming a track or clearing timber, we put thought into how the work is finished. Clean batters, tidy edges and no unnecessary mess left behind. We take pride in leaving a job looking right, not just ticking it off the list.

How We Work

Good Work Starts With Knowing the Country

Every property is different, and what works on one might not work on another. Whether it's clearing timber, building dams or general earthworks, we take the time to understand the job and what you want to achieve. It's about using the right machinery, doing the work properly and leaving something you'll be happy with for years to come.

STEP 01

Understand the Job

We start by having a look at the property and talking through what you want done. Every job is different, so we work out the best approach, what machinery is needed and how to get the result you're after.

STEP 02

Get to Work

With a clear plan in place, we get the right machinery on site and get stuck into it. We keep you informed as the job progresses and make sure the work is being done the way we agreed.

STEP 03

Finish the Job Properly

We don't consider a job finished just because the machinery has stopped. We take care of the final shaping, tidy up where we've worked and make sure you're happy with the result before we leave.

Common Questions

The Stuff Worth Asking Before You Book.

Will your machinery make a mess of my paddocks?

Heavy machinery is always going to leave some marks, but there's a difference between necessary disturbance and unnecessary damage. We plan how we'll access the job, keep unnecessary travel to a minimum and take care around the rest of your property. We treat your place with the same respect we'd expect someone to show ours.

Can you handle different types of earthmoving work on the same property?

Absolutely. We're not limited to one machine or one type of work. Whether it's clearing timber, stick raking, forming tracks, desilting or general earthworks, we have experience operating excavators, dozers and loaders. If you've got a few different jobs that need doing, we can often tackle them together rather than having you organise multiple contractors.

How do you know what machinery is right for the job?

Not every job needs the same machine. Some work is better suited to an excavator, while other jobs are more efficiently done with a dozer or loader. With a decade in agriculture and earthmoving we can work out what's required to get your project completed efficiently.

How far do you travel?

We cover roughly a 150km radius around Warren NSW. If you're out that way or near enough, get in touch. If you're outside it, still ask, and we'll point you right if we can't get to you.

Harry Hailstone
About Us

G'day, I'm Harry Hailstone.

I run Hailstone Earthmoving out of Warren and I've spent the last five years building dams, cutting channels and clearing country for farmers around here. One job alone we put in three new dams and desilted three more on the same property.

What gets under my skin is seeing a farm left looking like a bomb went off after the machines leave. That's not how I work. I want to take rural earthmoving up a notch so your place actually looks good when it's done.

If you want a bloke who'll read your land, use the right gear, and leave it better than he found it, give us a call and I'll come have a proper look.
